Welcome to MechaPinoy.net
MechaPinoy is the haven of mecha builders here in the Philippines...... An organization structured as a simple "barkadahan", it emerged from what originally was known as a simple Mailing List to what is now known to be the menage where Mecha Builders thrive and nurtured in their skills and techniques.
As the "Barkada" grows and the household expands, this website is aimed to foster more camaraderie and promote the hobby in its own humble way.
Feel free to browse through the pages of our little abode in this world known as Mecha Modelling.
February: The Month of…
Alright, alright, so I was planning to write a Velentines’ Day special that would focus on the love teams of mecha animes. Alas, some other news reached my ears and I can’t help writing about those bits instead.

Fall / Winter 2009
For the lack of Mecha animes last season, some people actually go like this:

Hooray for the cluster who love shoujo and moe.

Armor Scale Modeling: A Journey Through An Alien World
Towards the end of the 2009, a number of MechaPinoy members formed an informal group build featuring 1:35-scale AFV or Armored Fighting Vehicle scale models. It was humorously named in a Japanese tone, Sawanaku Sagandamu or Sawa Na ‘ko sa Gundam (I’m fed up with Gundam). Ironically, Sawanaku Sagandamu was formed as a respite from another group build, the A Baoa Qu Diorama. Although this time, it was open for all. It didn’t matter if you were part of the Diorama team or not, as long as you want to build a tank or a jeep or an artillery. Whatever the reason, it was indeed a breather from building robots, for me at least.
